Rev. Matthew M. Cottrill has been a part of ministry his entire life. Born into a pastor’s home, he grew up learning the intricacies of leadership and the qualities that make a great pastor. Bro. Cottrill attended Indiana Bible College and graduated with an associate’s degree in Theology. He also attended Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech for Criminal Justice.
After graduating from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2010, he began working as a full time police officer and police chaplain which he continues today.
Bro. Cottrill has served in various capacities within the Indiana District and local churches as a sectional youth director, assistant pastor, promotional director, and youth pastor. He, along with his wife and three children also pastored for several years in Michigan City, IN.
Bro. Cottrill has been trained in family counselling, trauma counselling, and holds various FEMA certifications for emergency response and situations.
