I was born and raised in Oklahoma City and grew up attending the UPC church pastored by Rev. R.D. Whalen, the only pastor I have ever had. I have an associates degree in Banking/Finance from OKC Community College and a bacherlor’s degree in theology from Apostolic Bible Institute. My secular work background has been in banking & finance and also in human resources/administration.
I have pastored Victory Worship Center in Ponca City, OK since 1990, and have seen God grow a church from nothing to something. I have served as a volunteer police chaplain since 2005 and love working with law enforcement. Over the past 20 years I have served my district as district paper editor, sectional youth leader, district youth secretary, district home missions secretary, and since 2002, as district secretary. I absolutely love the work of God and love helping my fellow ministers. I am an avid student of leadership, having attended many conferences and love to teach leadership seminars in churches. Everything rises and falls on leadership.
I love my community and am involved in the Chamber of Commerce, completed Leadership Ponca City, and have served on the United Way Board of Directors and currently serve as president of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma. I believe it is critically important to be involved in the community!
I have been happily married to my wife Val since 1990! We have one son, Blake, born in 1997, who we dearly love. I am blessed with awesome spouse and wonderful son. I love people and ministers, and feel especially burdened to bless other pastors and ministers.
